The Grizzly Chess Engine
Computer chess has a very long history. I started to get adicted to computers and chess in the late 70s. I wondered how chess computers are working and asked my cousin. He told me that there some ICs inside which are programmed to play chess. I had no idea how this all is done. Little black ICs which can play chess? But from this moment I had a clear picture of my future. Learn programming, learn electronics, be an engineer.
That’s the way it worked. No I’m an engineer programming mainly embedded hardware and mobile devices (iOS, Android). Chess programming is not my most favorite area to write new software but it is omnipresent in my brain. So from time to time there will be new Grizzly derivates.
I also made a very small STM32 PCB with display and buttons for my GriizlyMicro.
Last but not least I will try to port a chess engine on a LPC810 with only 4KB Flash and 1KB RAM. What a challenge.
I will post any news on this site.
